Commuting--harsh driving--how is the Maverick holding up?

HI! I'm still waiting on my truck to get here, but wanted to know if anyone is doing a lot of commuting in their truck. I'll eventually have a hybrid and will be Dallas traffic a lot. Just wondered how they are doing? What you expected? Better? Worse? Mixed reviews? Thanks!

Drove my Lariat hybrid from DT Dallas yesterday up Central to Stacy in Allen, then over to Frisco. Got on at Live Oak, hit 70MPH, set the Adaptive Cruise and NEVER touched the gas or brake until I exited 24 miles later. Was FANTASTIC! Slows abruptly at times and speeds up abruptly but I can live with it.

Got 42 mpg on the drive with 1/3rd of the drive all electric. I am happy! Good luck fellow DFW Mav owner. Hope we get together one day and love on our trucks together.

Thanks for letting know how it is going. Unfortunately quite a bit of my drive is on the PGBT with traffic. So when it flows it’s great, when it not, it’s not. LOL Yes, it would be nice to get several of us together once more of the trucks start coming in.

I'm a new member as of today. I just purchased a used 2024 Maverick hybrid XLT. It has a lot of options and a lot of miles in its 2 yr 3 mo old life. 69699. I did a vin check and found out I'm the third owner . First owner put 15k in 1 yr 1 mo, 2nd owner a whopping 54,000 in 1 yr 2 mo. Enough about me, after 3 Pennsylvania winters it looks surprisingly good underneath. I don't notice any undercoating or rust.

Kelli....in traffic is where the Maverick shines. Great gas mileage and smooth to accelerate and brake. May daily commute in S.A. is mostly highway with some bumper to bumper at lights. Been finishing the week with about a 42-43 mpg average. Should bump up a bit when we stay in the 90s...this weekend....LOL
