I have used metal worm drive hose clamp on plastic nipple before, just got to be gentle.
I dont understand why the catch can guys are not using polyethylene tubing instead of neoprene hose. OEM uses mostly polyethylene formed hoses, especially on the PVC systems, and mostly without any type of clamping device.
