Color change

Anyone know if it would cause a build delay if one were to change the vehicle color, as long as it was done prior to the beginning of the build date?

I was told from Chapman Horsham to not change anything because it might drop you to the bottom. Proceed with caution.

And it must be done before it is picked up for scheduling, not just before the build date. Once it is selected for a scheduled date no changes can be made.

I agree here. I changed my color from Area51 to Rapid Red but that was back July 2021.
Roll forward to today & the many logistical changes, changing colors MAY drop you or delay, even if it has not been scheduled yet.

Suggest calling Ford Motor Company OR send them a message through Start Conversation here in MTC under MEMBERS (type Ford Motor) to see if they can change it there instead (assuming you have a copy of the retail order from the selling dealer).

I order in July and changed color in November. They did give me a new Order number. So, it probably does drop you a few places. But dammit, I want the color I want. I changed from Cyber Orange (school bus yellow) to Velocity Blue (only because they don't have a Velocity Green). I saw the colors on cars at the dealership and made the change. In my case I don't think it made a huge difference.
