The "chips" are just small piece of the puzzle, so I don't think that this alone will cause the price to increase, but consider that most other sourced parts will likely increase as well, I do see Maverick's price increasing.

I've watched sheet steel prices quadruple in the last year.. They've come back down some, but like most things, not to pre-pandemic levels. And I'm sure they never will. I jumped on this train before everybody starts adding $$ to all their vehicles for inflated material costs
