Ceramic coating experience/review?

Anyone have first-hand experience using a ceramic coating on your toilet? or these fancy polymer coatings intended for the same purpose? Do they work? Worth it?

Would love to do less cleaning there.

I've seen the PF ceramic coating video once or twice already. I'm more curious though if anyone here has experience with hydrophobic coatings in the particular application mentioned above.

It's been difficult to find real-world assessments (including non-water material) of effectiveness in a toilet but I imagine it would work quite well. So far, I've come across...

• a couple videos of people amazed at how water works on top of Rustoleum's NeverWet in a toilet bowl (it is pretty neat),
• this gem of an Ars Technica staffer smudging potting soil around in a half-coated bowl with a product that's now only available to industrial customers
• a 7 second clip of some kind of polymer coating that seems to work really well

I don't think any of those are covered by the PF video and I'm just guessing that it's because they are something hydrophobic but not truly ceramic?? I don't know.

Anyway - just curious if anyone here has tried something similar and can speak to results as it relates to cleaning.
