I sold Carvana a 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-X and they offered me what I owed on it. Paid off Nissan Motors within 48 hours of taking possession of the vehicle. I got a notification from the Nissan App and 3 days later a written copy that the loan had been paid in full.

I personally wouldn't buy a vehicle from them. But my experience was good in terms of selling. So many lawsuits and judgements pending against them for failure to delivery titles.

I was an early supporter of Carvana and have purchased several vehicles from them from 2015-2019. I also referred, and was paid $100 each, a total of 10 friends who also all purchased cars from them during the same period. It wasn't always smooth and trouble free, but for the most part all of us were happy and would be happy to do business again.

Right now my XL EB is pending sale at Carvana, they are due to pick it up on Wednesday, for over $10,000 more than I paid.

I hope they survive. I hate traditional dealerships.

How did it go with carmax? From what I gather you drive it to a carmax they inspect it then cut a check on the spot? I have two small door ding dents on the door that I am wondering how much they will take off the price.

I have not sold a car to Carmax, but I've been there twice when my brother did.

The first time he sold a Miata that he had a loan on. I followed him to the dealer, they inspected the car, took it for a short test drive and made an offer. Took a few minutes for them to call the bank and get a payoff. They gave him a check for the difference the same day. The whole process took less than an hour. That was about 15 years ago.

Next time he owned the car free and clear and the whole process was done in about a half an hour. He handed them the title and left with a check. Thus was about 6 years ago.

Both times the offer was fair, quick and easy.

About a year ago, he got an offer from Carvana. The rep came out to do the deal but he was not comfortable with all the info/data mining that Carvana wanted to do. He also owned that free and clear and just wanted to trade keys and title for a check. He called Carmax, got an offer within $300 and was going to take it but stopped at an upscale used car dealer in his hometown and got an offer better than Carvana.

Carvana offered 7k more on my wife’s mkc than any other company. This was about 3 months ago and was the easiest transaction ever.

Bored at work today I got a Carvana quote and a Vroom quote on my EB XL AWD with 360, tow hitch, full size spare and inverter with 4700 miles. Also level kit, aftermarket wheels and tires but I don't think there's any extra $ offered for those.

Carvana $23,474

Vroom $28000

I started the process to sell to Vroom. I really like the Maverick but it's more than I really need. It's the first new vehicle I've owned and I feel kinda vain in it. A $1000 beater will get me back and forth to work just fine. And with the profit I may just splurge and get a $1500 beater lol.
