Cargo bed slide outs?

Anyone considering cargo slide outs?

I've been kicking around different options for using the Maverick bed.

Thinking that slide out drawers could be anchored with the bed tie downs and used as chuck box and gear for camping. Maybe with a plywood platform on the 2x4s in flexbed slots with pullout to tailgate length for quick roadtrip sleeping option. And the all covered with tonneau cover.

What do you all think?

Does anyone know depth from bed to underside of 2x4s inserted in the slots?

I built a slide out cargo bed for my silverado but that was only because it had a topper at the time...got rid of topper and never needed slide out...slide out drawers might be kind of handy though...

I've seen a bunch of DIY truck bed sliding drawer builds on youtube. I've thought about something for my Maverick when I ever get it. Now that I don't have to take out a second mortgage to afford lumber. hahaha
