I’m cheap and didn’t want to spend over a grand on one. This is far from an original idea. I’ve seen a bunch of YouTube guys do this. Uses conveyor rollers.

I don’t think it’s as quality as the big $ ones but it’s cheaper and lower profile than many. Total height is 2”

used
1/2” flake board i had laying around
1/2” king starboard in black.
(2) 2”x2”x4’ long aluminum L channel from local hardware store
(1) pack of 16 conveyor rollers off Amazon.
(1) roll diamond pattern rubber Matt, cheap crap forget where I got that

Good Job(y), the only thing I would do differently would be to hinge it half way to drop down for easier access to the rear items

the channels are just L shaped 2x2 aluminum. I drilled holes in them and carefully screwed then to the edge of the wood with the rollers on it.

it’s NOT ideal. The 1/2” edge of particle board isn’t the smartest choice for a self tapping screw. I only used it because i had a full sheet of it laying around.

it holds for now but I plan on replacing it with a piece of good quality plywood. Predrill holes and put some glue before tightening the screws.

this whole “system” for lack of a better word is self contained and simply laying in the bed. there’s a lot of friction between the wood and the spray in bedliner. I don’t think you’d get away with only laying it in if you had a drop in liner or no liner.

I got some bins from Lowe’s today. I cut down a couple of small ones so I could utilize the space at the front where the housing for the switchblade tonneau is.

the way it is now, all I need to do is unload 4 bins, 2 buckets And my tools, slide the 2 boards out and I’m a factory bed again. 5 minute process.

since it’s not bolted in, what you see is as far as I’d slide it out. But this bed is so small that’s all you need to reach everything

You could probly screw the channel to the wheel wells to keep it in place?

Maybe but I’d never do that. I’m not drilling holes in a 2 week old vehicle with less than 1000 miles on it
