🇨🇦 My dealer said today that parts for the recall are in stock in Edmonton and will ship overnight. Hopefully we'll be able to finally pick up our Maverick next week.

Recall completed and took delivery of truck yesterday. Nice to finally have it at home.

Next up: Bison hard trifold tonneau cover, Bedrug and Husky Liner mats are going in next Tuesday. Then we just drive :)

Get some seals for the tailgate as well while you're at it installing the bed cover. Get's fairly dusty from the gaps on the tailgate/tonneau cover.

Regret not doing mine earlier and have some on order.

So there's some tailgate seals available ? My truck bed gets ridiculously dirty.

ESI makes a tailgate seal that's universal for all trucks.

The Maverick specific kit is B0BWV7HJMZ. USA & Canada

They also do make a seal that bridges the gap between the tailgate and bed so you have some protection from scratching the areas not covered by the bedliner (spray/drop-in) or bed rug. Fairly pricey from what I can see.

Agreed, a seal kit is essential. I went with the TruXedo TruXseal kit from Amazon, which I think is comparable to the ESI kits you mention. I had the TruXedo on my previous 1/2 ton and it worked well.

The taper seal included in the ESI Maverick-specific kit is interesting. I guess I'll find out if I end up wishing I would have gotten that instead.

This is a nightmare. My dealer told me they had 4 sets of wiring harnesses. I dropped the Mar off Monday at 7:30. I called at 3:00 and they told me they were missing a wire it would be 1 more hour. 1 1/2 later they called to tell me they were still missing parts. The dealer rented me a truck. Late Tues I pick up the Mar. I don't think it is fixed. Going tonight to hook up to a trailer and test the lights.

How are folks applying the ESI to the bed ? Bead side up or down doesn't really work that well since the bed has a small lip that needs to be curved around..

ESI says "Most often bulb side is down for Ford Maverick..."
https://tailgateseal.com/FordMaverick.html

Not sure if the profile for ESI is exactly same as TruXedo; however, bulb side up, right below the lip seemed to work best for me. Makes contact and doesn't roll when closed.

The ESI kit has the same profile it looks like. Though, it did come with a large piece to put on the top part of the gate.

I only did part of the seal so far. The instructions while are decent, you do have to do some modifications like the seal on the tailgate edge. It says 26 inches on both sides and to place them under the hinges. Left side, you have enough space to place it underneath, but not to realign once the adhesive is pressed down. Right side, nada the hook blocks you from sliding and pressing the seal down.
