My truck shipped via rail on 11-17 and has been chugging along. It arrived in East Portland on 11-27, then this AM via
the CSX rail robot it says that it's at the "Customer Location" somewhere in Oregon. I live in Wa state and called my dealership and they don't
have a clue as to where it might be. Anyone know what "Customer Location designates?
Can I use the Pals app for location info? TIA

I believe that Pals app is a dead end at this point. Seem to recall people saying it stopped allowing us to create accounts or it stopped tracking Ford shipment or something.

Being in Portland is pretty normal for WA deliveries from what I have seen on here. They load them on a semi-truck/car carrier and drive them north. Which frustrates me since BNSF has an "Automotive Facility" in Renton..... way closer to most of us WA people than Portland.

P.S. CSX is East Coast. Pretty sure you are on BNSF, even if the railcar prefix is not BNSF. Cant guarantee, but it is a pretty safe bet. You say the CSX tracking worked for you? When I try CSX, I am told my railcar was unloaded and released to the customer in August in Toledo Ohio. Haha. So that is a dead end for me.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I think u have to be in the Biz/dealership for it to work. Any idea what the at "Customer location" refers to... guess I'm just being a little impatient.....

I used CSX for the last week and was pretty accurate.....last leg of the rail trip seems a little weird. Others on MTC had their trucks sent to various cities via train.......

There used to be a hack for Palsapp using a line of code with Chrome developer tools but I guess the people in charge of the site figured it out and put the kibosh on it. But yes, Palsapp use is completely dead.

"Customer location" usually refers to the destination to which the shipment is intended to be delivered, which in this case is your designated pickup location or dealership. However, without more specific information, it is difficult to determine the exact meaning in your context.
To get accurate and up-to-date information about the location of your truck, it's best to contact your trucking company or logistics provider. They have access to real-time tracking data and can provide you with the most up-to-date information about your vehicle's whereabouts.
As for using the Pals app for location information, it's not clear which app you're referring to. There are various tracking apps and platforms available, but their compatibility and usability depends on the transportation company's tracking system and the information it provides to customers. You may have to ask the shipping company directly about the tracking options available and whether their services are compatible with any particular tracking app.
In any case, contacting the shipping company or logistics provider directly will provide you with the most accurate and reliable information about the current location and status of your truck. If you still can't solve the problem, ask for help from a good programmer such as https://goit.global/ph/courses/fullstack/.
