After not hearing anything from FORD or dealer, I called FORD today. I'm astonished that FORD told me the dealer took my order never confirmed with Ford about my order. Ford has stopped taking order. But will Ford still accept dealer confirmation?

The deadline for dealers to submit order confirmations was like Feb. 2. Unfortunately I think you're out of luck for MY22,

Did you see my post about ordering in February?....my local dealer is trying to get me to give them $1000 non-refundable deposit for a vehicle they cannot order! $1000 to "Put my name on a list" ....yeah sure. Total BS

When did you order? Im guessing you got screwed

The dealer promised to called me back after I called them last time. I gave them enough time but nothing after two weeks.

I went to their office today and talked to the salesman who handled my order and the sales manager. The manager tried to tell me nothing is wrong and I have to shut him up that Ford told me the dealer didn't follow through the confirmation and he acknowledged the fact that no Ford confirmation email to either his office or me.

He now promised again to get back to me on Monday after he would talk to Ford. I'll give him the chance for the last time before I have to cancel it to get back my deposit. It's only $100 but that's my money and I don't think they deserve it or a potentially abandoned Maverick to sell for profit.

I would say there's a 99.9% chance that you're out of luck based on what Tim Bartz has said in his videos. Many dealers were just ignorant to the ROVP system used by Ford on Maverick orders. I suspect that a lot of people who "placed an order by never received any word" are victim of the same dealership ignorance and don't actually have a valid order in the system with Ford. Doubtful you're going to get a 2022, I would find a better dealer to order through when the 2023 order banks open on August 16th.

Honestly, I have not confidence on this dealer right now. But I'll give him the opportunity to complete his action, in a legal term, and to establish my base to collect back my deposit and move on.

Just for a closure of my saga: After my several visits to dealer's office, they called back early this week and said my order wasn't finalized with Ford and gave me some false excuse. I didn't argue with them since there is no point to do so. I went to the dealer office on Saturday and got my deposit back. So long and farewell. I think it would be my last time to get into that dealer's place ever.

To be fair to the dealer, they may not have had malicious intent.

They could have simply been incompetent.

Yeah, it still sucks for you. And no, you absolutely should not give them a second chance.
