Hey All,
First time posting here, but thanks for all of the info and inspiration!

After a 15 month wait, finally got my 2023 Lariat in Cactus Gray in October and replaced the stock wheels with 1552 Metrix in bronze. I've seen several posts and photos with the frosted graphite or carbon gray 1552 wheels, and they all look great. I think the bronze adds a little pop and a nice contrast, though.

Mounted with 245 65 17 Kumho Road Venture AT52. Great tire so far, zero rub, and low road noise. Lighter weight than most of the popular all-terrain tires.
Dashboard says I'm averaging 36.8mph (mixed So Cal driving), but I didn't drive on the stock wheels/tires long enough to establish a baseline mpg. My guess is that I'm losing 1-2 mpg. Cheers!

Your truck looks very nice! My guess is you lost more like 4-5mpg. I have a Hybrid with 235/60/18 on 18x7 (47.5et) Mach-E Wheels. I averaged 46.5 mpg for 1st 1000 miles. Now averaging 44.5 mpg now that I use Sport Mode:cool: once-in-a-while!

P.S. Welcome to the forum!

THANK YOU. Been wondering what this setup looks like on cactus. I would think it goes great with the blue/tan activeX interior on my maverick.

would equally love to see a wheel like this in a dark blue.

*bump* and question for others - does anyone else have bronze or even gold wheels on cactus grey?

I like bronze wheels, and I think they look good on the cactus gray. I love the 1552 wheels, for my cactus grey pickup I think I’d go with the more subdued charcoal gray.

dark grey wouldn't look bad at all, but the reason I searched for this thread and bumped it is I'm considering a set of bronze that I can get a good deal on. 👌

Bold move. I would not have guessed the bronze would go so well with the cactus. Looks great and welcome to the club!

My 17x8 RRW RR5-S arrive next week and will be mounted on 245/65/17 Cooper AT’s. Will post when I mount them.

I pulled the trigger on an unbelievably good deal at the TireRack for Raceline Scout 17x8 at $108/wheel. (Side note, it is a little weird to me that Discount Tire acquired the TireRack almost 3 years ago and they still have very different products, pricing and websites that don't link to each other. They still look to me very much like competitors.)

I then scored a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3W in the Tremor (and First Edition) OE size 235/65-17 for only $161 a tire.

Total price including new TPMS sensors, 2 year free roadhazard coverage, black lugnuts, black metal valve stems and free mount & balance was less than buying a set of Wildpeak AT4W by themselves, no wheels. Plus, reading the specs and initial info on the AT4W, I think the AT3W suits me better, and it's much a much lighter tire.

I won't be installing them for a while to come and I'll open a new thread when I finally do. I have 255/55-18 summer tires (Conti ExtremeContract Sport3) and will run those until winter is coming.
