I'm really excited to get Cactus - I think it looks good with the XLT and higher trim rims (love it with the blackout FX4 rims I'll be getting), but...I would not pick this color with an XL trim! The steel rims in silver are just not a good matchup. Area51 on the other hand looks quite good with the steelies.

I ordered Cactus in XL trim but the first thing i am planning to do is get an aftermarket wheel

So I just Switched from alto blue to cactus gray. Saw both colors this weekend on a bronco and bronco sport. Really liked the CG but alto almost black. I do Think alto in sun will be very nice though.

Lots of pics of Cactus Gray Maverick XLT with moonroof interior.

When I first started down this rabbit hole of ordering a Maverick, I wanted the Area 51 color because it looked different to me. However, my wife hated it. So, there went that idea. After some debate, I settled on the Carbonized Gray. Yet, after seeing all of these real world pictures of different colors, some look much better than others, and Cactus Gray is one of them. I really want something that's different, and not your typical gray/silver/blue whatever that you see. This color might just be what I'm looking for, and my wife likes it too! Looks like I'll be changing my order...Tomorrow, I might be a converted Cactus Gray fan!

I'm with you; I like it because it's different. Plus I wanted a lighter color vehicle this time, have had darker color vehicles for several years.

I have been back and forth on my CG selection as it looks kind of like it has a greenish tint in most pics. I was at the dealership this weekend and there was a CG Ranger and in the sunlight it did not look greenish at all. Of course the pic i took of it, it looks like it has a greenish tint. I am now very happy with my decision to order the CG.

I ordered a Cactus Gray XL last week without seeing a vehicle in person. I saw various tints of gray, green, or blue on the internet. My dealer had a full size page in his Ford notebook with all the colors. I like it because it's different. I feel sure I will like it when I finally see my little truck in person this fall.

The book does not translate that color very well. I saw the color on a Mustang, and changed from Silver to Cactus Gray.

I agree, the Ford color book just does not do Cactus Gray justice. I have since seen a Cactus Gray Ranger and love it. Really looking forward to it being in my driveway before Thanksgiving.
