I ordered two Mavericks one for me one for my girlfriend. Unfortunately, my girlfriend decided she can’t afford to buy it. I’m keeping mine, which I Love, by putting hers up for sale.

It’s a rare 2023 Atlas Blue Maverick Hybrid XLT.

Carmax offered me $33,000 and will likely sell it for over $40,000, I think $36,000 is a fair asking price.

I wasn’t implying that the color was rare I was simply stating that the truck is rare. My dealership has received a total of 15 Mavericks so far and only two of them are hybrids. All over this board it states Ford massively underestimated the demand for hybrids, and consequently thousands of them won’t be built

If I sell my Maverick to Carmax, I hand them the keys, get a guaranteed check and walk away. The “Enthusiast” that wants to buy my Maverick, now has to buy the vehicle from Carmax for $40-$45,000.
If I sell it directly to the individual, it’s a slightly more complicated sale, however, we cut out the middleman of Carmax, making me more money and saving the buyer several thousand dollars as compared to buying it from Carmax. It seems like a win-win for both me, as well as the enthusiast that wants the truck 🛻

if it were even close to MSRP, I would jump on that. (that is my Exact Hybrid order)
But I think NM Ford Guy is correct in his thinking. I would probably ask the same.

Thank you, I appreciate your levelheaded response. In addition, to paying, MSRP, I had to pay tax title, and license, as well as investing my time making the reservation, purchasing the vehicle, photographing it and listing it for sale.
