Happy New Year

Has anyone been able to get the RPM reading through 2025 2.0 EcoBoost Lariat OBD II port using an inexpensive Bluetooth OBD II Scanner?… if so, please advise which Scanner.

I can’t get the two I purchased to connect...
OBD II Scanner… Veepeak Bluetooth OBD II Scanner for Android $14.95@Amazon 11/10/25
OBD II Scanner… ELM327 OBDII Bluetooth Scanner $6.30@Amazon 11/22/25

I tried them in a 2022 Transit and they connected.

Kind Regards
Larry

I did not get a blue tooth one. I purchased a Lufi Xf from Amazon. Gives a lot of data (that is transmitted through the OBD2 port)

So many settings and screen options. Super customizable. Took screenshots of a video I made, but the video is too long. Hope this helps as an option you might be interested in.

Hi Josh,

Thank you for replying to my post. That gauge cluster is really cool and informative I may have to get one. However I will also need something to Bluetooth the rpm signal to my android phone. I’m beginning to wonder if something is wrong with my port as the scanners I have should work.

Kind Regards
Larry

Of course. That does seem a little concerning about not getting readings on devices.

Maybe bring it to an auto parts store and ask to plug to see what readings they can pull. If they can't read data then maybe you do have a bad port???

No sense in moving forward with another purchase if what you wish to work is not.

Really the devices you have are just OBD adapters with connectivity via BT. And BT specific to OS it appears.

It's the software they work with that provides the info - they just send data that is requested by the software.
They may have come with software - and perhaps not the best software.

And the software needs to know about the truck specifically - not just the VIN, but what it does, values, locations of data, ect.

Does either software have a profile for 25 Maverick?
Or listed as 24, or Ford generic, or OBDII generic?

Download Car Scanner - free version.
It has updated profile for Maverick, even hybrid - but not sure if 25MY.
But should be the same as prior MY's, so select that.

Is the current software able to display any other readings correctly?
Hopefully it has a manual method to select a profile for vehicle the adapter is in.

It looks like you have the correct ODB II adapter. I use Car Scanner. In the settings, the adapter has 2 different Bluetooth profiles. Bluetooth and Bluetooth LE (4.0+). Try looking in both profiles to see if the adapter shows up. One adapter that I have only connects with Bluetooth LE.
