Wow today I learned something. Thanks for sharing. I just assumed the brine was a better alternative to the rock salt. FWIW I haven’t seen much corrosion on the steelies that I've had on my GTI for 10 seasons. I guess time will tell about the alloy wheels.
Your alloys will be fine. Most reputable rim manufacturers will apply a protective clear coat on them and I believe Sparco does the same, also willing to bet, your Sparcos are sprayed with this unbelievable new fangled coating called epoxy paint.....the steelies are also covered in a similar protective coat...lol.

Hey Guys! Long time lingerer; first time poster. I love my Maverick more than I thought I would. Thanks to this community for all the advice, reviews, suggestions and first hand experiences. 2025 Lariat Eruption Green BAP.

Winter tire wheel set arrived this week and I couldn’t wait to install the new wheels. 17x8 Sparco All-Terrain Gravel in Rally bronze. Bridgestone Blizzak 235/65R-17. I have blizzaks on my GTI and they’ve never let me down. The only thing missing is snow! Bronze compliments many of colors but I think it pairs best with green.

Nice! I feel like the tire size of 235/65R-17 is the way to go. the 225's just look slightly too small and the 245's look slightly too big to me and may impact mpg's too much. Probably unpopular opinion, just my personal one. 🤷‍♂️
