Blind Spot Monitor not working

Got an error last weekend that my Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)/Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) detected a fault. I have a service appointment but it's out until mid August... Any ideas what I can look into at home? It's a 24 XLT with Lux. package and 360 package.

I never towed a trailer, and there is absolutely no visible damage on the exterior bumper. This package doesn't have those little circle cut-out sensors, though the larger ones concealed by the bumper. I took it through a car wash with bottom sprayers to see if that would help dislodge something that might be blocking the sensors, and no fix. On the app every drive it appears to try to re-engage, and fail...

Probably internal wiring or computer issue

You might try disabling it in the steering wheel menu settings. Mine quit working when I first got my XL. I disabled it then re-enabled. It's worked fine ever since. That being said, mine did not show an error message in the instrument cluster. And I do not use Ford Pass app.

Find another dealer.. the Blind spot sensor is behind the plastic bumper cover just below the tail lights.. The plastic bumper can be removed with about 20 hex head screws.. both 7mm and 8 mm.. there are 2 that you have to remove the tail lights to get to.. 2 in the rear fender wells

YOU TUBE has videos showing how to remove the bumper to install an aftermarket tow hitch..
