I ordered the Xceed from Xtang so don’t know how well it will work but soon as I get it and install it I’ll chime in.

I really like that one. The twist knobs to open each panel are nicer than a wire. Not sure how the vinyl top will last (or feel) in the Arizona sun ☀.

Don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Ordered and extand Solid Fold 2.0. Did not see that so voted for the one that says 4.0. Purchased that one for the price and ease of installation and removal. Paid $794, which is below your range as well. Also it was the strongest supporting over 600 lbs. Ordered around Christmas and came January 3rd from https://tonneaucovered.com/

Like many will get to install it in the fall with an October order.
My mistake, I don’t think there is a 4.0. Not sure how I got that because I can’t find it now. 600lb support is incredible!

I’m sure you’re right about all of them being good 👍

I live in Central Florida with plenty of sunshine and the Maverick will sit outside 24/7.

I’ll use some kind of vinyl protectant on a regular basis. Probably every 2 or 3 washes I will apply the protectant.

It has a 5 year warranty but don’t know if that will cover any fading.

I'll probably go with the Armor with the dent resistant and UV ray protection.
Looks like a solid bed cover with all the bells and whistles. Currently winning the pole too.

Good test for it for sure. I don’t think the warranties cover fading, but I could be wrong. I will weigh this one heavily when I need I finally pull the trigger. I’ve got plenty of time. Don’t even have a build date yet.

Must of been from a chat with a cover realer as realtruck.com
did check the video and just has him sitting no the edge. Note that 600lbs is evenly across the entire surface area and not in one spot. Was asking in the chat referencing a heavy wet snow fall of 18inches of snow.

However this 4 year review did not look good. Perhaps he abused it with not putting the spring loaded clips in and having slap against the back for the dents or possibly forgetting to use the clip tie downs and it bounced around, dented the top, the rubber stop and now raised clip holder was dislodge while bouncing and not being tied down. As trying to rationale the difference in the good and bad review both made in 2016.

Yet this one looked good and this one has the rubber stops and see just one in the bad review

Backflip MX4 gets my vote and is what I'll be purchasing whenever I get my Maverick. It lays completely flush and it is matte black with UV protection built in. The factory Ford one is basically a rebranded Bakflip G2 (glossy black and not UV friendly). The Armor Flex would be my second choice for the UV friendly coating and flush fit. The MX4 resting on the cab with protective bumpers is an advantage IMO. If something shifts forward with say a sudden hard break with the Armor Flex, you risk breaking the arm mounts and the cover slamming onto your cab. No thanks.

The Ford branded one seems pricey for a G2. Thanks for your insight, exactly the possibilities I wanted brought up. I wouldn’t have thought of that potential hazard until after I bought it. I’d like to see how sturdy the undercover is in the upright position.

Might also get the 3rd brakelight with the MX4 vs covered with the Armor Flex

You're welcome. Forgot to mention the 3rd brake light. I also considered that, as I plan on putting LEDs in to light up the bed when the cover is open.

No immediate need but will get a hard foldup cover in future. Have not decided on brand yet . have to have full bed access without removal . so third section will have to fold up . means of holding panels vertical important .

That is important to me too. I realize some of the options don’t have it. The current winner of the pole BAK MX4 and runner up Undercover Armor Flex both have that function. With the MX4 leaning against the glass and the undercover vertical. Hope this thread helps when it’s time for you to buy.
