Just a humble XLT. I get 999.9 all the time when I pull into the carport after unloading groceries. I'll grab a screen shot next time I remember.

It's not the same thing.
The instantaneous can read 999.9 when in engine brake. But your trip MPG is never 999.9 as I stated above.

I guess we are just not on the same page. I wasn't saying 999.9 was a "trip" mileage or a real value - just that when I drive the 10 feet or so pulling into the carport I get a "This trip" mpg of 999.9 with zero miles in my XLT. I know it is a made up number and not indicative of a real MPG - it's just what the Mav is telling me.

And I am saying:

I can drive 2 miles from my home to the coffee shop, slowly, and if the engine never starts, while driving it says "electric" and in the end it says "all electric" and gives no numerical value on the trip summary page.

I've never driven a short distance in EV after pumping gas with a trip/tank reset and checked the TRIP1 / TRIP2 screen(s) just after a reset.

Maybe that's it.
