Bed Tonneau Cover Drain Tube Routing

Hi, I just had a BAK MX4 folding cover installed by a BAK authorized dealer. He routed the drain tubes for the rain gutter channels into holes in the side of the bed, as shown in the pic. He pulled a rubber stopper out of the holes, which are located close to the front of the bed and the rear window, and about 2/3 of the way from the top to the bottom of the bed.. Does anyone know if these holes drain outside into the undercarriage? I would not want the water to be draining into an enclosed chamber in the side of the bed. Thanks.

Don't mean to tinkle on your parade but that small tubing is gonna be clog city. You picked the best cover btw.

Was there ever a solve for this? I have the same bed cover and a manufacturer installed drop in bed liner. I'm not sure where to put the drain hole and am concerned about the size of tubing as well.
