  1. You’ve gotta know when to fold ’em

Yep, I think that must be the one he was thinking of. My brothers owned Bugs in the mid 70's and that book kept them on the road.
  2. My first real issue

I did not get the ESP but have extended coverage of a sort...Geico is my insurer and they provide mechanical breakdown insurance as part of my policy. It runs me $67 a year and has a $100 deductible while the vehicle is under the original warranty and has a failure not covered by the warranty...
  3. Geee wonder where Ford got

I was going to say a Pacer, so at least I was in the same family with my guess. I must be in the minority, but I loved the Pacer. It was so ugly it was cute. I learned to drive a stick in a three speed Pacer. Wish I had one today.
  4. Took a ride in a different kind of Ford today

Is that the EAA Tri-Moter? I took a ride in it about 10 years ago at Airventure.
  5. 4,540 miles in 4 days of driving...

Controlled by pullies and cables is correct except for the starter...that would be the "Armstrong Starter!" I have some experience with the Armstrong Starter myself.

I learned to drive a stick shift in a 1976 AMC Pacer. Wish I had one now. They're so ugly, they're cute
  7. Ford Pass Cellular Data Connection...Who Pays For It?

That's the way of the world these days. I guess that's why Ford gives you the option to disconnect the data stream through the touch screen or pull the fuse on it.
  8. Ford Pass Cellular Data Connection...Who Pays For It?

Hi, so for the truck to communicate to Ford's servers and then to my Ford Pass phone app, the truck has to have a cellular data card connected to some cellular network. My truck does not have a wifi hotspot card, by the way, as it was deleted from the order and I assume due to supply chain...
  9. Tremor going skiing w/ Elevate CS rack and Thule ski box installed

Nice set up! I just lay mine diagonally in the bed in my ski bag and they just fit. I have a tri-fold cover on the bed similar to yours so everything stays nice and dry on the way to the slope.
  10. How much does a dealer charge to apply SIBL?

I paid around around $800 plus tax for a Rhino lining. As others have said, it can be labor intensive. The guy scuffed up the bed and cleaned it with alcohol to get good adhesion. All hardware came out of the bed and he plugged all of the holes in the bed before spaying. He also removed the...
  11. Keeping the auto start/stop off -- plug LED nightlight in the 110 outlet on back of console

I don't like the auto stop/start function so I just hit the button next to the parking brake release and disable it before I put the truck in gear.
  12. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

The Maverick took me and the Mavericks snow skiing today.
  13. Ski length to fit in Flexbed

My skis are similar length and will fit using a soft ski bag. Hard shell case would not be flat on the floor, however.
  14. My Mav Is On The Road

Finally got the truck, XLT EB. We ordered late December 2021 and took delivery the first week of October. Then we flew out of town for a planned vacation for two weeks. Once we got back, it took a few weeks to schedule the Rhino spray in bed liner and BAK MX-4 bed cover installations. After that...
  15. EcoBoost Maverick 4K AWD went 500+ Miles on 1 tank using Eco Mode 😁

Guys, I remember gas price wars in the mid 60's. One station posts prices at 40 cents per gallon, The station across the street drops it to 35 cents a gallon.
  16. 6 days of ownership and I get rear ended.

My spouse drove our mav home from the shop yesterday after bedliner installation, and I followed in our Hyundai. There's no problem seeing the mav or the brake lights. I think the original poster's "hit lady" just wasn't paying attention.
  17. Bed Tonneau Cover Drain Tube Routing

Hi, I just had a BAK MX4 folding cover installed by a BAK authorized dealer. He routed the drain tubes for the rain gutter channels into holes in the side of the bed, as shown in the pic. He pulled a rubber stopper out of the holes, which are located close to the front of the bed and the rear...
