Cool, ScangaugeIII looks like it would be a nice permanent solution. I've wanted to get the battery info for a while instead of 'guessing' with the EV coach.
Thanks!

Actually the Ford CMax Hybrid has a state of charge indicator on the dashboard.Ford’s current line of Plug-in hybrids and EVs get a HVB state of charge readout. There’s no such display on a normal hybrid, though. Competitors and older Ford hybrids have offered this extra level of detail. The closest you get from Ford today is the EV Coach screen that’ll show you how much of the available power you’re pulling out of it.
Reason being they expect most people to just drive it without worrying about what the power train is doing. It’ll keep charging and discharging the battery as needed, there’s only so much you can do to control that.
Bottom line, they don’t expect you to care so they don’t provide it.
Where is this display?
You have to buy it and plug it in, like a cell phone. There is a multi-pin port by your left knee under the dash.Where is this display?
