Currently I have an LC2I pro hooked up through my sub wires going into single channel amp for my sub. I just purchased some Focal PS 165 FE for the front stage. I was thinking of running a Kicker KEYLOC to act as a DSP and add a 5 channel amp to run everything. Would I still need the LC2i for the sub? I'm still debating if I should do the 5 channel amp or just get the Kicker KEY 200.4 and also do the 500.1.

To answer your question, I think you would want all of your audio coming from one source, so use the KEYLOC to correct the input, split the output into the 4 channel and mono block, then use the crossovers on the amplifiers.

With that said, I am not sure this would be a total upgrade. If sound stage does not matter much to you, and you just want more volume, then add the 4 channel amp and new speakers.

If you are removing the factory center channel speaker or keeping it powered off the factory amplifier, you will loose the imaging that the center channel brings. The center channel in the Maverick brings the vocals up on the dash when compared to the non B&O setup where it is mid dash depending on the frequency of the vocals. To integrate the center channel, you would either need an LOC on the center channel or a full feature DSP that can create a center channel.

I think it would be best to just replace the speakers with the Focals, keep the sub, and see what it sounds like on the factory amplifier. Use the passive crossovers that come with the Focals, and run a new wire to the new tweeter. You could even upgrade the center speaker with similar driver to enhance the sound even more.

If you're on the verge of adding that much hardware I'd probably just consider getting a DSP or amp/DSP that can interface directly with the A2B signal. Then you're getting a pure digital audio signal from the start to manipulate instead of relying on a bunch of Kicker/AudioControl stuff to try and recreate it.
