AWD Tow Pkg Upgrade Offer Once VIN Assigned

I meet all the criteria for Ford's offer to upgrade my order to AWD with the tow package. Problem is my original order already had a vin number assigned so Ford can't modify the order. My dealer doesn't know if Ford will honor a new order while cancelling the original. Has anyone else run across this?

Looks like from below, you can reorder , re-spec, or cancel existing order.... your dealer should be able to contact Ford for more info...

1. Reorder to include AWD (W8F) ($2,220 MSRP)
2. Re-spec to remove 4K Tow Pkg (53Q)
   • Base vehicle towing remains 2,000 lbs.
   • Vehicle may be spec’ed with Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ 4-Pin Connector (60B) ($100 MSRP)
3. Cancel the order

MAVERICK AWD/TOW PKG CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PRIVATE OFFER (#38274)
A Private Offer has been created for customers who placed a Retail Order for a 22MY Maverick FWD Gas (999/448) & 4K Towing Package (53Q) that must be reordered as this combination is no longer available. Ford is offering $2,220 Open Bonus Cash to cover the cost difference from FWD to AWD ($2,220 MSRP) should customers choose to upgrade to the 22MY Maverick Gas AWD with the 4K Towing Package. "

Dealer seems hung up on the fact that Ford has already pulled the VIN number.

Shouldn't matter cuz they can't build and won't build a FWD with the 4K towing package so your order isn't ever gonna go anywhere!!! I thought Ford was going to kick those orders back to the dealers for a request for further info as on how the customer wanted to proceeded???

Yes, that's correct. My current order dropped the tow package when ford kicked it back. The revised order was then assigned a vin number.

Oh, so you change it already and dropped the 4K...... not sure about that. Did you try posting it the thread about the new offer???
