I hope some agreement will happen before vote on Thursday. This will disrupt the whole production and supply chain. A no walkout would be good for many reasons and still work on an agreement. Time will tell.

Bring on the strike! The last time there was a strike, I clearly remember the news people saying "it's not rocket science to bolt on parts!"

The average UAW wage is ridiculously low. $18.50. You could make more in a warehouse and a lot less tedious
New hires are closer to $16/ hr and they can be kept as temporary without benefits for months or even years in the case of Stellantis. In the past 10 years, real wages of auto workers has actually gone down while executive pay and car prices have soared.

Fast food workers In California are going to get $20 an hour. Our local fast food restaurants are anything but fast and make mistakes more than getting the order right. Maybe they can all just go work at McDs.

In 1977 I was a UAW auto assembly worker for Ford. Our wage was $10.50 per hour which for the time was very decent. I find it hard to believe in about 45 years the wage has only increased approximately $8. No longer a sought after position
