I used it once. Madera Canyon (just east of Green Valley AZ) is quite steep to come out of and speed limit varys from 15 to 35. Never hit the brakes once coming out of there. I didn't notice outrageous RPMs. Next time I'm there I'll be using it again.

In a EB why would you?
In my XL it tells you to posh the low button of you want to exit the vehicle when in neutral.

Hybrid - steep downhill - use simulated Low

Hybrid - uphill - no need for simulated Low

Hybrid also has "simulated" neutral. No gears change positions.

Both Hybrid and EB - sounds like you need to press L after it is in Neutral to exit the vehicle and it will stay in Neutral for 30 minutes. Informally known as "Chekov's Rule".

The actor Anton Yelchin who played a young version of Star Trek's Chekov was killed when his Jeep ran over him and pinned him down while it was in Neutral.
