This is a new one for me. I don't think I have seen anyone else say they have been given a 2 month (or even more) ETA after the assigned production week. PLENTY of folks who ended up waiting that long or longer due to chip holds and rail delays and such that were "unforeseen". But I don't think I have seen anyone else post that Ford predicted a 2+ month transit time before they even built the truck.

"I appreciate your patience. The vehicle is scheduled for the week of Oct 17, 2022."

" The ETA is Dec 16-Dec 22, 2022."

If anyone else has a late October or early November build week, might be interesting to have folks call or chat with Ford to see if their ETA is also 2+ months. Maybe that is the new normal? :)

Interesting, my build date is Sept 27th. Dealer said late October. I don't believe it.

I don't think you should worry at all about ETA to dealer when it is still 6 weeks from your production date.

I am not worried. I am a numbers guy though and I like to find trends. I have not seen anyone else on here say they were told 2+ months from production and am just wondering what other late October or early November VINs are being quoted. Is Ford becoming more accurate/honest by including some rail delays or chip holds in their estimates? Do they actually KNOW it is going to sit there for a few weeks on a chip hold already? Are they just slapping on an extra 2-4 weeks to the estimate across the board, etc... There are many possible conspiracy theories here. Hence my post. Haha. :)

I plan to do what I did since I originally ordered. I'll do the Ford Chat either every Friday, or every other Friday asking for a status update. Quick and easy for the chat agent and will help them to lower their average customer service time/metrics since I am not someone with a complicated support issue that takes half an hour to solve. In and out in less than 2 minutes usually (after I wait in the queue for however long it takes to get an agent).

It's all good!

Wildly different ETA. Interesting to see and makes me wonder what formula is used for the ETA estimate.
