Ok guys out there in Maverick Land that actually has a Maverick, question for ya. My order from last October '21' may actually get built next month (Oct 22). I have been pondering the shortened antenna for some time and now ready to order. I have been leaning towards the CravenSpeed Stubby Jr Antenna ($20) but came across KSaAuto Antenna Delete Cap Kits Car Washing Protection Antenna Interface Cap ($12.99) on Amazon. I very rarely listen to FM radio and never listen to AM. The KSaAuto Antenna Delete Cap will completely eliminate AM/FM receival which will be OK with me. I listen to Sirius and spotify currently. The CravenSpeed Jr. Antenna is 2" and will work for me. I understand that the "Stubby Jr" actually receives AM/FM signals but distant channels are not received very well (understandably). Who out there has the "cap" and who has the "Stubby Jr."? I know that the regular Stubby is 4" and receives the AM/FM stations better, but I'm looking at either the shortest antenna or none at all, meaning capping off the antenna mounting hole. I need to eliminate the antenna that comes with the Maverick for various reasons, plus I like the looks of the Stubby Jr. and cap, giving the "shark fin" look only. Suggestions and reviews greatly appreciated. Price is not an issue. Looking at a $7 difference between the two.

I just actually posted how I just got the Stubby Jr in mail today. I don’t have truck yet though so no review. I like how it will be only the fin look as I hate the antenna. So I went with stubby jr as I thought it was best option and at $20 it was super cheap.

I also would like to hear some feedback. One of my garages has a low ceiling and my '22 hits which means the Wifes '23 will also

The stubby Jr fits great and looks 100x better than the stock antenna. I've had that installed since about my third week of Maverick ownership.
No idea how the am/FM reception is with it though. I'm Sirius/XM or Carplay 100% of the time.

Isn't the satellite antenna in the base of the antenna? if so, xm will be ok with the stubby or no antenna stalk. Radio goes to hell when you remove the antenna stalk. I don't know about how the stubby would work. Not sure it would be wise to delete the whole antenna housing.

I ordered directly from CravensSpeed with no sales tax (Oregon) and free shipping. First Class mail will allow it to arrive in a week.

I want to install a stubby antenna when I get my Maverick. Actually I would rather paint both to match the color of the truck. Not sure if that would interfere with the reception? Any ideas?

Technically, if you want quality FM reception, the length of the antenna should match the size of the wavelength, which is about ten feel. So you really need a longer antenna!

Seriously, you can get away with a 31" antenna and in most cases the FM antenna with shark fins is actually built into the car or on the back window. So, the stubby won't overly effect the FM reception anyway.

I've also had the Stubby Jr. antenna since just about Day 1 and it's been fine for me as well.

I got the KSaAuto cap that was listed for the F150 and the threaded road is too large to fit the Maverick. Edit: the OD of the stud it too large.
Back to the drawing board!

Any chance you know what a good longer antenna would be? I could care less about the looks but my current stock antenna sucks for reception in the country.
