So sometimes you get a warning message complete with chime in the center screen when you shut off the vehicle...but not always.

After a little testing I discovered yet another way the Maverick is trying to be smart.

Opened a rear door to throw my jacket on the rear seat. Got in and drove away. Shut off the truck at the destination and the message below appears.

Opened the front door, threw my jacket over the front seats onto the rear seat. Got in, drove away, shut off the vehicle at the destination. No message.

So the message must be activated when a rear door is opened, just in case someone gets in, puts a kid in a car seat, whatever...

This is just like the C-max...if the wipers are on, put the car in reverse and the rear wiper is activated...

A lot of sorcery going on with these new vehicles!
