Silver tailgate Maverick letters look great. Matte black and gloss black also pop. I like them all and would be happy with any of them. But still, I just can't shake the desire to stick faux-wood styled letters on instead. Specifically, I'd love to get vinyl letters cut from this photo of my favorite tree; a Western Red Cedar. What? Doesn't everyone have a favorite tree?

Feel free to try to talk some sense into me or confirm my lunacy.

I found the badge on Amazon. There are many types of lettering and sizes to choose from.
They have one with red lettering too. The oem black platinum lettering and the black set of door sills look awesome.

I haven't heard back. They will customize letters, I'm just not sure to what extent. Here's a great example of a custom job they did for I'm guessing a Seahawks fan:

Finally saw an Alto Blue today at a dealership. There was a lot of overcast so it definitely appeared black and couldn't really see the deep metallic blue. While I liked it, it was still too dark for me. While I know they are going to be everywhere in a year or so, I think I am probably going to switch to Catcus Gray or Area 51. I wish they would have that Blue Jeans color that was on the F150 which is a dark blue, but still clearly blue.

Creating my order off the computer, I thought for sure I was getting a blue truck. It's really dark once I actually saw a co-workers. really, really dark unless sun and or direct light is on it. Mine should be in 3/31-4/6 and I'll try to keep it as clean as possible. Good luck with yours, I've got some plans for mine, should be pretty cool.

After seeing it in person, I actually changed both my orders to Area 51 and Cactus Grey. If it was just a shade or two lighter I would've stuck with it, but definitely too dark.

idk, have not seen one in person, but like that it looks different in sunlight. Had a black Sebring Tsi model with nice wheels that looked very nice. Think it will look nice with the bright Lariat wheels no matter the lighting. The main draw back for the black look is hotter during the summer. But added a moonroof so dreaming when it will arrive. I'm not Rip Van Winkle and very aware of the time waiting.

My long wait is over. Ordered 7/19/21. Arrived at dealer yesterday and I just got home with it.

My worries about problems at the dealer were unfounded. I just had probably the single best car purchase experience of my life. No surprises or unwanted add ons. Complete transparency and fair value for my trade in.

This is my third ford purchase and second with my salesman at maxwell ford in Austin. Can’t say enough about how positive the experience was.

Good to hear you got yours too. I had no issues or surprises either with Woody Anderson in Huntsville. I used to live in Town n Country off of Hanley Rd/Waters, so I know of the dealership you dealt with.

I'm amazed by how many of the Alto Blue trucks in this thread have the FX4 package. By far more AB's with FX4 than any other color I've seen.. Surprise, Surprise. Thats what I ordered to.
XLT with all the packages + moonroof. First thing to upgrade is the tires. truck looks SOOO much better with larger A/T tires vs the scorpions.

Congratulations, the truck looks great! Personally like to tell people the color is Midnight Blue versus say Alto Blue and then the questions well what's Alto Blue.
