A couple nights ago, at about 4am, I heard a honking sound. Sounded like our horn. I went out the front door but not out the front gate because I was a bit under dressed. I wasn't sure if it was our alarm or a nearby neighbor. I could see our truck when the alarm honking was going on. But there was no flashing of lights of our truck.

My question is this: when the alarm goes off, do the lights flash? No sign of damage or tampering of our truck.

Did you get the honking to quit somehow?

I found this quickly on the net:
"Why is my car horn honking by itself?
A damaged relay might be responsible for your car honking when parked.
A stuck horn switch, a bad alarm system, incompatible car parts, and dirty or damaged ground cables are other possible causes. You can always force a car to stop honking by removing the horn fuse until a professional can fix it"

This truck has no known flaws or problems. There are real problems in our town with vehicle (and tire) thefts. My guess is that someone tried unsuccessfully to rip off and some alarm scared them off. But the lights, do they blink when the alarm goes off? I know for example that if you hit the horn button on the key fob, the horn honks and the lights blink.

There is detailed info in the paper or electronic version of the manual. In short it says:

HOW DOES THE ANTI-THEFT
ALARM SYSTEM WORK

When armed, the anti-theft alarm is
triggered in any of the following ways:

• If someone opens a door, the liftgate
or the hood without a correctly coded
key or remote control.
• If you turn the power on without a
correctly coded key.
• If the interior sensors detect movement
inside your vehicle.
• If the inclination sensors detect an
attempt to raise your vehicle.
• If someone disconnects the vehicle
battery or the battery backup alarm.
If the anti-theft alarm is triggered, the
alarm horn sounds for 30 seconds and the
direction indicators flash for 5 minutes.

Any further attempts to carry out one of
the above sounds the alarm again.

I would assume that the lights will blink when the alarm goes off.

Here's a different alarm that I just tested: " Test it by rolling the window down and getting out and locking the truck. Reach in and open the door and the Alarm should go off. "

This causes the vehicle to produce a different alarm sound and the emerg. lights to flash.
