Hi all,
So I've had a '23 Ford Maverick Lariat hybrid since May. Every once in a while I'll bend over or bump into something and set the alarm off by accidentally pushing the key fob button (in my pocket) for the emergency alarm. We've probably all done it.
I'll hit the button again and it turns off.
Well, yesterday, I bumped it in the kitchen and the alarm goes off in the garage, louder than usual. I push the button and nothing happens, push it again, nothing happens. Go out to the garage and find the Ford Maverick and my wife's '19 Ford Subaru shouting at each other with both of the alarms going off.
I tried the button again, nothing.
Only thing that stopped it was going over, opening the door in and hitting the "start" button on the Maverick (with the keys on me) and it shut off my alarm and then the Subaru immediately turned off too. I can't think of a reason why this happened, so hoping someone else would have an answer. Mating calls?
