I have recently entered the Maverick group after switching from a 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Premium to a 2024 XLT. My previous rig had Sirius included in the info system so I had a paid subscription to it.
I commute about 50 miles per day via 2 lane hwy that has relatively poor cell service over 50 % of the drive. The Mav radio keeps dropping off more than my SC did. While cancelling my Sirius, they tried to sell me on a streaming subscription. Long story short I denied it due to poor salesmanship.
Now I have an info system without Sirius but have compromised myself with "Tune in " as my blue tooth streaming device ( even thought I don't seem to know how it works) LOL. It seems to drop off more than my past Sirius service seemed to . The reception cell service has stayed static so what could be causing the problem.? Was the SC system reception better than the XLT? If so is there a way to fix that w/o paying for a $2500 upgrade? Is Sirius better than Tune In?
