Added a triple row Tailgate LED Light Strip to my '23 Ford Maverick Hybrid using Ford OPT7 connect harness pinned for the Maverick. I still want to use OEM halogen bulbs in tail lights. I have hyper flash on the dash and driver turn signal and brake light stopped working. Disconnected OPT7 harness and I now have driver turn & brake lights. By adding resistor to each factory tail light wiring harness for ground and turn signal, will I then have functioning LED tailgate strip and driver tail light along with dash hyper flash elimination?

If the brake light is cutting out, you're drawing too much power. Drawing even more with resistors in parallel won't help.

The title and description below came from Amazon in the purchase of Aaron resistors. It looks like you want everything to add up to 28W total for the factory wiring with modules to work properly. Apparently using stock halogen bulbs of 28W and adding a tailgate LED light strip with 4W = 32W. This produces an overload thereby causing my turn and brake lights not to work on driver side. But then, why would passenger side turn, park, & brake light all work fine? Is my solution to add LED tail light bulbs with my tailgate light strip and 4ea load resistors for each factory turn signal wire?

Aaron 4Pcs 50W 6ohm Load Resistors - Fix LED Bulb Fast Hyper Flash Turn Signal Blink Error Code (Resistors get very hot during working)
  • Solution for fast turn signal blinking response after installing LED light bulbs. This 6ohm resistor consumes 24W in a 12V system. If the power consumption of your stock halogen bulb is 28W and your LED bulb is 4W, the total power consumption of the resistor and LED bulb will match that of the stock halogen bulb. This alignment is necessary to eliminate the turn signal hyperflash issue.
