Hey everybody, I was just wandering if it would be possible to buy OEM heated mirror glass for the side mirrors and get them to work with the non-lux versions of the Maverick?

I would assume that this may be possible since the co-pilot blind spot monitoring system provides wiring/electric to the mirrors. So swapping out the glass with the heated variety, and then doing a Forscan mod. In theory, this ā€˜should’ be able to get it to work. I’d imagine that the factor wiring/connectors are likely the same for both heated and non-heated if the Mav has power going to the side mirrors.

Just wondering if anybody on here has attempted this, or has knowledge on the topic. Any help/input is appreciated!

Thank you!

I've got an XL Hybrid. I added heated side mirrors to mine today. On mine the factory harness for the heated mirrors was not present so I ran my own wires for them. I've also added a rear window defroster so that and the mirrors run on the same timed switch. The heated glass was a direct swap for the non heated glass. These are the part numbers for the glass that I used in this image. I can't comment if you've got the wiring or not. Only way to find out is to have a look. If not, you can run the wires yourself.

Thank you for the reply and the information! This is some good stuff to know.

Unfortunately I don’t think these mirror’s will work for my case since these do not have the blind spot indicator.

Hopefully somebody who has the heated mirrors on their Maverick with co-pilot360 could take a photo of the inside of the mirror to show the pre-installed connectors and possibly part numbers for the glass.

Do you do a DIY and do you have a link to that thread? Thinking of tackling this soon. I have an XLT, maybe the wiring is in there already.
