Added Fingerprint Reader/Lock to Console Vault

I've gotten a lot of great info from this site and wanted to share my latest mod.

There were no instructions, but the install was easy. It seems like a good product with one exception. The combination lock is terrible, the numbers are very small and hard to read with no contrast.

I then ordered the following biometric / fingerprint lock. (20mm)

It was easy to pair/setup on my iPhone (it says it also works with Android). You can register up to 20 fingerprints and the lock can be opened from the app. It claims battery is good for 6 months or about 3000 opens. There is a USB-C slot at the bottom of the knob so you can charge when its closed, but you will need a longer cord to charge when installed.

The lock bolts right in, but unfortunately the locking/bar was too long.

I trimmed it down slightly using a grinder.

It's a great mod that allows me to open it quickly in the dark, without looking and fiddling with the little tumblers on the original lock.
