I was so close to hitting the pre-order button and then discovered a deal breaker. I want this for a regular long distance highway commute but also want the bed for a bike, kayak etc.

Due to the long drive I need ACC, BLIS, lane departure but don’t want the Lariat luxury package. I have a Ford Fusion Hybrid which is great except for the lack of storage and the horrible active X material on the seats. It’s so uncomfortable and hot I can’t buy another vehicle with it.

Is there any way to order this? I thought the XLT with the XLT luxury package and Co-pilot 360 checked every box. This is a deal breaker for me. Hopefully the 2023 model will allow it.

Though I've never sat in the activeX seats, the color scheme put me off more than enough to go with a Lux XLT. I really wanted the additional tech as well, ACC is great in my Ranger (on which it was part of a single tech package). I suspect this was split up so oddly due to chip/parts supply availability. There is no other reason/explanation that the 360 package shouldn't have included all of the drive-aid enhancements as a single group - I'd have paid double, even up to $1,500 as a full proper tech package, though I did still buy the $500 360 pack with my XLT. The price we pay for being early adopters.

The several thousand dollar price jump for features I don’t want was the bigger concern.

Yea the Lariat is ~$4k more but can still be gotten for $30k if you go Hybrid.
