Finally today it warmed up enough to install the wiring for my Dash Cam. Pulled the A Pillar trim to install the two cables and make sure all wiring was behind the Air Bag. I noticed there were two sets of clips on the bottom of the trim. The back one popped right off but I could not get the front one off to let the whole piece hang by the lanyard. Not worth taking a chance on breaking anything as I was still able to install the wiring.

Question, that front fastener was in there tight. Is that something I should be concerned about if God forbid the air bag get deployed? The trim comes out pretty good with just the back clip off but is that good enough to let the air bag out?

Should have taken a pix but hurrying a bit as rain was getting close. Thanx.

Hey Butch a photo would help but I didn’t encounter this when I installed my dash cam - driver side I ran the power supply to the OBD II port together with the rear camera wiring I removed the passenger side A Pillar trim to run the GPS antenna wire. Both trim pieces popped right back in place with little effort- good luck👍
