$9 fix for hard to open hood

According to the manual 2 quick pulls on the latch opens the hood. That didn’t work for me most times. I got tired of pulling the latch twice and going out to find the hood still secured. So I added this $9 hood spring and it works every time

Installation just takes a couple of minutes. Unscrew one of the hood hook nuts, slide the part over the screw ( I had to enlarge the part’s slot a hare), and replace the screw. Super simple.

I wonder if this may assist in any hood rattling issues some people have reported because the spring will tension the hood latch up against the hook now. Nice catch.

I plan on getting those hydraulic hood arms for my vehicle when I receive it anyways, so this point may be moot.

I have the hydraulic hood strut arms installed and still needed the spring to open the hood. The pair of struts don't kick in until the hood is up a bit.
