I just think that was a lot of unnecessary comments over a 10% off sale. It was already listed on their website and spammed around facebook since last Thursday. I feel like if someone really wanted to order something they would have already known about it anyway.

Just a misunderstanding here.

We typically post on the forum at the beginning and end of each sale. With a few team members out of the office, we weren’t able to get the kickoff post up here this time, but it was shared across our other channels.

The end-of-sale post is simply a reminder for anyone who may have missed it or hasn’t checked out yet. Since these promotions only happen a few times per year, we try to give everyone a final chance to save.
