To get a little more out of the aftermarket speakers (Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, etc) what kind of four channel amp are people running and where are you mounting it? Im assuming behind the rear seats since there seems to he a lot real estate there.

Also what brand of am are people running? I heard mixed reviews about the Kicker key 200x4 amp not lasting long.

There's a great search feature on the forum where you can look for previous posts about general questions like this.

I've not heard anything about the 200.4s "not lasting long." It's a very popular upgrade, and I have one myself.

People do mount amps behind the rear seat, but as all the signals (and power on an Ecoboost) originate from the dash area, the 200.4 slots in really well behind the glovebox if you are just doing a 4-channel amp. The glovebox-area brackets people have fabricated and 3D-printed for smaller components like the 200.4 are in a thread here as well.

How long have you had it and does it pretty much adjust itself once instead? What kind of speakers do you you have in your truck?

All kinds of links in my thread here:

So no, I have not personally had my amp in that long, but forum members have been putting them in their Mavs for 3 years, and I have not seen any reliability issues.

The DSP setup in the amp is a one-time procedure that will keep its settings until you reset it and start over.
