I got a powered sub professionally installed but I was looking to get another one for under the seats. Would I be able to use posi taps to tap into the existing cables to make an easy install?

I have a powered kicker 10 inch behind the rear seats and all the other speakers are kicker
I have never done that, but I think it would work fine as long as you have a line out converter and then take it from that into a Y splitter, and then to each amp.

I am a little concerned about impedance if you were to split a speaker-level connection. I think at high volumes it could clip.

You mentioned that the original was installed by a shop. Take a good quality pic of the connections and upload it here if you're not sure if you have speaker- or line-level input to your current powered sub.
