I have not heard any good experiences with the newer ATs off road. They look good but they just don't clear the tread fast enough. If you try them out I would like to see what you think.
Im planning on Maxxis Bighorn MT 245/70r17s for my Tremor. I also want to do a 1.5" spacer lift all around on top of the Tremors specs.

Went from 28-30 down to 22-24
damn… I wanted to want ko2s.. I’ve had them before on a different vehicle. Maybe a 225/65/17 would preserve the mavericks mpg efficiency, although that smaller k02 appears to cost >$300 more for a set. A 6mpg drop is probably bigger than I’d want as I do a lot of highway. The skinnier tire might also keep debris off the side of the truck better as well. Of course won’t look as cool and all lol. But, we do get a lot of snow and ICE here in PA. Maybe I’ll try the lighter trail terrain tire. Costco has a 60 day exchange program if I’m unhappy.

Clearly everyone can do as they like, the KO2s are 48 lbs each...... the stock AWD Pirelli's are 25 lbs each....

.
I could care less about mpg. I use maverick to haul tools and often find myself on construction sites that are unpaved muddy and not plowed in winter. I rarely leave the city with maverick or go through more than a tank of gas in a month. Different people have d different needs. Plus they look cool

this thread and that comment are over 2 years old...

anyway, currently most people are choosing 245/65-17 sl or xl load tires. if you get into light truck tires rated C or higher the weight goes way up.

Hey Matt. I know this is old. I live out in Yorkville and just got a 2025 XLT with the ecoboost. The stock little puny tires have got to go. How has your truck been with the 255's on it? Any issues since you put them on? Did you ever get a lift at all? I want to get tires ASAP as I cannot take these little tires but worried about the 245's vs the 255's on the stock wheels. It looks sooooo stupid with the little tires!!!
