Around 43k miles, my truck’s check engine light came on. Did a bunch of research and turns out the EGR sensor was bad.

Code: P139C - EGR Sensor "C" Downstream Hose Off or Plugged

So, I bought the sensor on Amazon for around $22 bucks. (Heads up, that’s my Amazon affiliate link — small kickback for me, same price for you)

The part from ford would have cost $117

Today, I removed the sensor and replaced it with the new one. Went to go clear the code after the install and upon start up, the check engine light was gone. Truck runs a lot better now.

Actually thought I was having transmission problems. When the truck shifted at lower speeds, it was pretty rough. New sensor fixed that.

I’m attaching some photos of the sensor, the error code and the location where you can find yours if you a have an eco boost. I also filmed the video which will be on my youtube channel after a week from today. I’ll also post a link to it on this thread once it’s up.

Hope you all may find this helpful.

Do you know if it’s the same part for a hybrid? Had the same code but I cleared it and it hasn’t come back but want to replace the sensor anyway.
