Just an fyi
I just installed a dash cam and a Hyundai mirror with home link. Both devices require a constant 12v and a switched-when-on 12v. The constant on puts the camera into parking lot monitor mode as well as powers the homelink. The switched 12 v enables cam recording and powers up the mirror auto dim and compass.
I didn’t want to cut Into any existing wiring nor am I comfortable putting an additional load on any circuits not designed for them. I like to use spare lines… I wound up use 2 fuse taps. On the 25s the fuse box is under the glove box. There are a number of spare fuses. Fuse 3 is switched and fuse 20 is hot all the time. Easy to tap.
there are two unpainted 10mm nuts on a stud nearby so easy to tie in the ground wire too.
