2025 Maverick Lariat Dark/Silent Mode Findings

I don't do any Astronomy things. But I prefer and primarily use Silent/dark mode on mine. If I could adjust the brightness (i.e. dim them), I would probably be OK with the in-cab lighting at night.

I also run the 'remember last headlight setting' mod, i typically use Auto headlight still, but like the ability to turn the lights OFF and stay OFF on next start when I wish.

In case it helps someone else, and noting that I have a 2024 Maverick Lariat with Sync 3, not a 2025...

Multiple attempts to get the slider switch to show up in the infotainment center failed. I could force it into dark mode and reset the infotainment panel, but no switch. I should have noticed sooner that my infotainment vehicle settings options didn't match OP's.

I glossed over this the first dozen times given that the OP said it didn't work for him, but after reading about something similar for the Transit, I went to check, and sure enough, the silent mode check box was sitting there in the steering wheel vehicle settings.

Unfortunately, I'm not certain which setting finally enabled it, but I did enable the silent mode control function in the IPC so that's a reasonable conclusion. By the time I noticed it in the menu, I had turned on most everything related to dark/silent mode that I could find.

My use is for camping in state parks, pulling a Bean Stock teardrop. Thanks to others here, I also set the panic alarm to just trigger the hazards, not the horn. That saved me some embarrassment several times last camping season. Even with dark/silent mode on, I still get battery warning messages after we've been on site for a couple of days. I've never had a vehicle chatter just sitting there like this thing does. I looked for the 'remember last headlight setting', but couldn't find a match.
