Picked up a new Yamaha FX Cruiser HO this weekend and was pretty impressed with the technology changes on the 2025 Hybrid AWD model. This was our first real long distance road test and the first time we had used the truck to tow anything. It was about 600 miles round trip to pickup the trailer then the waverunner. The adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, tow/haul and trailer backup assist were amazing. We got almost 35MPG on the first leg of our trip to pickup the new trailer. After hitching up the 212lb Tritan aluminum trailer, the mileage dropped by about 1 mpg. After picking up the PWC at the dealer we netted about 30mpg for the 200 mile final leg of the trip home. All of this was at highway speeds. It was a small load at approximately 1200 lbs but there was no sway and very predictable handling. Compared to our 24 Maverick hybrid even the ride and handling were much improved.
