2024 Ordering Secret - in Richmond, VA

To those like me that have a large population of truckers not too far away (near 4 major interstates but still 30 min into the woods), call and see if your local Ford Commercial Vehicle center will order one for you.

Not only is mine willing, they only have a $199 doc fee and "will charge somewhere up to MSRP depending on cost." LOL! So I assume MSRP and the norm but only $199 instead of every other dealership around asking for $799-999.

They just printed the order guide, and they don't want it ordered unless you'll take it so it "doesn't sit around for months".
Guess they don't know the associated WANT for these "mini truck"s...

The only downside, they probably won't get many, if any, allocations.

XPlan doc fee is $75-$100 in most states.

if they don’t get allocations, how will you get one?

And that's why I said "possible"... they already sent me a build sheet and agreed to the price. The salesman is checking to see if they will get any allocations. They even included the invoice sheet to show their MSRP is $718.30 over invoice.

It's an interesting thought. Definitely taking a gamble on the allocations, but I think most people are.

Ordering a Lariat Hybrid, I almost feel like I need to take the gamble!

I am also talking to a few more letting them know that they would be a backup plan, seeing if anyone takes the bait.

I did find one that doesn't have a doc fee, but wants 1k over MSRP and another one that told me they will put MSRP on paper then do a market adjustment when it arrives. Going to try to have them added to the list of dealers.

Since we are talking about orders, my dealer just sent me his build sheet for my rollover 23-->24 Mav hybrid Lariat. It shows ""Equipment group 500A, $-720. I did not see anything about that discount/deduction on the equipment list. Anyone know what Ford is doing ? Is a discount for the rollover order?

That is the delete of the AWD that comes standard with the Lariat.

Hybrid Lariat FWD only; FWD VS AWD gas Lariat standard. AWD value = $2220, hybrid cost = $1500. Diff = $720.

He was told they can have 3, even without any sales history of any small vehicles.

Unfortunately by the time he replied, I had already received a confirmation email from another order attempt.

They want MSRP, $199 DOC fee, 500 down and nothing else added.
