Are there any majors issues with the sync 3/2024 screen or is the new one just nicer/bigger. If the original is glitchy especially with a wireless CarPlay adapter which I would want, that may tip me over the edge.
I haven't had any issues with the sync 3.x screen in my 24 Lariat, and it was a heck of an upgrade from my monochrome head unit in my old GMC. As an old techie I would have liked the over the air updates that the sync 4 has but c'est la vie! I have only had to cold boot it a couple of times and mostly for car play sync issues (not even sure it wasn't my iPhone!

Thanks, guys. The 2025 they were asking $600 more plus I’d have to pay for bedliner and the cover so I went for the 2024. Don’t like the exterior as much but the interior is pretty nice! Reading online everyone talked about how cheap it is - maybe cause I never had a luxury car but I think it’s more than adequate. Nice to have the extra Lariat features, too.

Thanks, everyone!

So I was looking to buy a 2024 Lariat today with AWD, 4k tow, FX4 (don’t really need that) with 4,000 miles today.

Another dealer calls and says they can sell me a 2025 XLT luxury package AWD with 4k tow for an extra $500 over the above trucks price. I like the wireless CarPlay of this one, the fact it is a year newer, direct and port injection, and the better screen. Plus it’s a little cheaper.

However, I like the extra features of the 2024 (bedliner, already has bed cover - that’s worth about $1,000) plus better windshield, seats, wireless charger, ACC, etc.

Any thoughts, I can’t decide and need to get it today!
I didn't need the AWD or 4k, and I went in for a used Mav, bought a new 2025 hybrid XLT lux they had on the lot. A used truck for what they wanted didn't make sense with all the improvements in 2025. I'm thrilled with the truck coming out of a 2005 Ranger I purchased new that I sold with 288k on it. If I'm spending close to 30k for used, I'll take new.

Not even an option - I'd go new 2025 with the XLT Lux Pkg.

While you'll lose the ActiveX seating (I enjoy it), power rear sliding window (another one but take or leave it), and the B&O system - you'll gain sync 4, port injection, it is brand new with full factory warranty.
I agree, not even a option, go with the 25 XLT, who knows you could be buying someone's else's headache, I had a 22 XLT FX4 and loved it, didn't need the FX4 only got it for resale value, same with 4Ktow didn't need it got it anyway, am driving 25 Lariat now I like the look of the fake leather seats has but the Xlt seats were more comfy and the heated seats work much better on cloth, The 13" sync is a big plus for me had problems with the radio in the 8" radio. Still haven't made up my mind have the Hybrid now had the Eco but leaning Eco
not so much for the power of the Eco it's more the operation and noises in the Hybrid, I don't drive much but the 40mpg is nice but not a big deal, if I had to do it over again, I would go Eco I think? its only 6 months with the hybrid we will see in 3 /4 years.
Definitely the 25...Don't buy a truck for a hard cover or a keypad, you can get a hard cover on amazon for 400 bucks, they work fine I have one.

If both were new, I'll say get the 2024 Lariat but you said the Lariat has 4,000 miles on it, that's used
Get the brand new 2025 XLT
New off the show room floor on 7/02/24 I got my 2024 AWD Eco Lariat #Tremor with the $700 up charged Hot Pepper Red paint bur it was brand new with zero miles on it
