2024 EB loss of power and hesitation at stoplight

Hello. I have a 2024 EB ford maverick. Today I performed my 2nd oil change on her. She has 1526 miles so far on her. Confirmed oil was full 5.5 qts. Prefilled oil filter. 20 ft torque oil drain plug. She sat dor about 30 minutes then I proceeded to go pick up my granddaughter from school. 7-8 minutes into the drive I pulled up to a stoplight and the truck started to hesitate and act like it was going to die. I thought I forgot to turn off the stop/go feature but I didn't. That's what it felt like. Light turned green and I drove into the first parking lot I could about 2-3 minutes after the issue happened. The check engine light came on too. I checked my ford pass app and it states my truck is fine no warnings or health issues. Has this happened to anyone else

If it’s a 24 it should have a warranty. It’s about the only time I’ll bring mine to the dealer.

For sure! I always do if the filter location permits it.

Get some white lithium grease for the seal and threads too. By "grease" in that article you shared I'm assuming they mean molybdenum grease, because yea... that would be dumb. White lithium is perfectly safe to use and you don't need much. Using oil around the seal and threads doesn't do what people think it does. It only makes it harder to remove the next time as that stuff heats up, dries, and hardens.

Keep us updated. If you are getting a tow I'd make sure you are there when they do it.

There is a whole big debate about it. I choose to prefill my oil filter so when you start the vehicle for the first time after an oil change there is already oil in the filter to be circulated throughout the engine. Without oil in the filter there is a very quick brief second of low oil pressure while the oil filter fills with oil. It's just something I like to do.
